Nothing shows how much a company value's its clients, and prides itself on customer service, more than how they deal with errors. Barrier is #1! When there was an issue with the service that was recently preformed on my XC70, Barrier and team (Writer: Richard Filori) came to my house (in Lake Stevens!!!) to get it right. It turned out to be an all day event for the Barrier "team" and I truly appreciate everyone's assistance. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved! Great job! Coming over to Barrier is ALWAYS something I look forward to b/c the guys are smiling, its an opportunity to get the latest updates and be included in exciting conversations, to be accepted as "part of the club", and to gawk at some GORGEOUS cars! I always feel like my head is going to explode! Hans shuttled me to a coffee shop for my wait; his engaging character and zip did a better job explaining his car's complicated electronics than the manual ever could. Andrew took some time to look at rims w/ me; his patience is infinite and I've never seen him w/out a smile. :-) I didn't have the opportunity to interact w/ Justin today - but he's one of Barrier's most important assets. This letter is written to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service that I received from your service department and especially your service manager, Jason Vevang. On September 16,2008, I brought my Volvo 2001 car in to be serviced due to a problem with the electronic throttle module.
Prior to contacting Barrier Motors. I had been waiting for over a month with another Volvo dealership for this repair. As you could well imagine, I was very concerned about driving my car safely with this engine problem for that length of time. A friend who also owns a Volvo, suggested that I contact your dealership since she had been very pleased with the service and repair work completed on her car in the past. Imagine my surprise when contacting your service department that not only could the problem be corrected but also your service department would be able to schedule the work after receiving the part from California in a day or so. Jason Vevang made certain that the repair work was completed satisfactorily after I explained the past issues with the repair history. He took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them immediately. Therefore the service work was completed in a timety fashion. I greatly appreciated this courtesy since my commute to your business is from Silverdale. Despite your business location, I will continue to maintain a client relationship with your dealership because of my complete satisfaction with your quality of service. I just purchased a 2006 SLK less than a month ago. The first week, my husband got the center console misaligned. I drove it into the bay and a service person was able to pop it back in and had me ready to go in 5 minutes, so this is actually my second visit to the service department. I'm extremely impressed with Barrier- starting with the Sales Dept, the new owner seminar was extremely informative and now the Service Department. You definitely live up to your promise to do more. Volvo Sales
I purchased a Volvo S80 in 2000. Over the years I have grown to love that car and hoped to keep it for 25 years! Yesterday an idiot who was taking a corner waaay too fast crashed into the side of the car behind the driver's seat. The side air cushions deployed and, although I'm afraid that the car is a total loss, It has to be the safest car on the road anywhere. My husband, our dog and I had absolutely no reprecussions physically from the crash. I owe a lot to the people that designed this wonderful car. Even the people at the impound yard said that I would have not have fared nearly as well in any other car that they could think of. Just wanted to share my "survivor" story. Marlene N*

I was concerned about coming to Barrier b/c there were some negative comments on several dealership ratings web sites. You proved every one of them wrong. From the moment I drove on the lot, every single person I came into contact with was extremely kind and helpful. I started at the front desk/info center b/c I didn't even know where the service center was located. They actually walked me around to the service bay, while I followed in my car, and introduced me to the the service porter. Then the young man asked if I was OK, before he left me with the service folks. Superior service! I was assigned to Sheryl who I can not say enough about. I did not have an actual appointment, I just wanted to see how the service process went, get a tour of my new car, and make sure that there were no scary surprises since I did not purchase the car at a Mercedes dealership. She immediately understood my concerns about the car, assured me she would do everything possible to make sure I was completely satisfied. She is amazing! All the issues were taken care of, we ordered keys, manuals, and went over all the features of the car and how to care for them. She arranged for a rental right then and there, and I did not even get done at the Coffee machine in the waiting area before the Enterprise person was there ready to check me into my rental. Sheryl kept me updated all day about the progress on my car, and it was ready promptly the next morning by the time she had estimated. I am so completely satisfied, and will ONLY use Barrier to take good care of this car. The drive from Wenatchee is well worth the treatment that I received at your dealership. Thank You! Please make sure everyone from the porter, to Sheryl, the rental car service, and the parts window, knows how fantastic they really are. Especially in this economy packing added value into every interaction with your customer will ensure the continued success of your business.

I have deliberately waited to write this letter until I had experienced Barrier Audi’s (and Rodney’s) support after the sale.
To begin with, Rodney was very knowledgeable about the Barrier Audi products, but more importantly, he was not technically arrogant about his expertise. I am sure Barrier’s customers are typically professional, well-educated people. That is why Rodney’s knack for being well spoken about his product and responsive to the customer’s level of expertise should serve the Barrier Team very well.
After the sale, Rodney has followed up with sincere interest in how we felt about Barrier’s customer care and the car itself. He has done his best to coordinate with Service and Sales Management to resolve minor issues fairly and competently.

This was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had. Y'all had the car I wanted, Mark was professional and efficient, and Miguel didn't try to over-sell the additional services. My biggest concern was that the car would not be in as good a shape as I would like, especially since we had flown from Bend to Seatac. It exceeded my expectations. First I really want to apologize for not having written you a note sooner thanking you for taking me to the track. I've been badgering Jay, that guy we met at Pacific Raceways who lives on Mercer Island, to get me the pictures and video that he took, but I haven't been able to get a hold of them yet. I just wanted to say thank you for so much for organizing to take me to theBarrier Track Day, it was honestly the best present I could imagine and it wasabout the fantastic day I've ever had. There are few things that captivate my imagination more than racecars, and being able to drive one as fast as I could around the track was just incredible. So thank you and thanks again. I actually still have the neon yellow wristband on that they gave us there, it's lasted a month and a bit, even with regular showers. I've also managed totell my friends about it over and over -- they're all insanely jealous.This is getting a little bit compulsive I know, but I do occasionallydaydream in class about how it feels to drive a car as powerful and composed asyours and what it would be like to be a racing driver. I bought an 03 Porsche Boxster mid to late last year from Barrier. I have enjoyed my car quite alot. I recently had to replace my headlamps and had a problem getting the housing to latch back into place. I went to a Audi/Porsche dealer in Tacoma, of which I have had less than acceptable service from, and asked for information on the headlamp housing. I was passed off to the parts dept. and then told they couldn't help me unless I set up an appt. Frustrated I left and on the way home I called Barrier. The service dept. was busy so the young lady transferred me to the parts dept. They in turn took my information and said "Gary" would call me back as soon as he could. Within 20 minutes or so, Gary called me back (to my surprise) and gave me the
information I was looking for and gave me further help if that did not work. I would like to thank Gary for his help and very curtious and respecfull nature.

Your service people were very accommodating and the service was beyond what I expected. I had to come in without an appointment because my engine light came on not too far away from your dealership. Since I am from Eastern Washington and was over in Bellevue for 2 appointments I was concerned that I would have to spend the night if my car needed extended service. Your service person (Rich Filori) not only indicated that he would try and get my car in right away, but also arranged for a loaner car so I could make my next appointment. I did a walk-in at 12:30 for a blown engine pressure valve and associated CEL. By 12;45 I was o my way to work with a loaner, expecting and overnight service. The only unresolved issue I have is my e-brake which needs to be applied to the floor before my vehicle is stable on a incline. I appreciate the wash and vac done on vehicle at Barrier. Suggest that vehicle dashboard should be quickly wiped with a damp rag if dusty. Dust on mine was obvious as vehicle had not recently been driven. Also a substance on outside of front window (sap?) should have been noticed and scraped off. Suggest that persons performing car cleaning look at car to see if anything needs some quick additional attention. I removed substance with a credit card in seconds. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service department!

I have been looking at purchasing an SLK for about two years now and have been shopping in earnest for about 3 to 4 months. I gave Chris my grocery list of "must-haves" and "nice-to-haves" and a date when I would be ready and financially able to make the buy. He was very patient and kept an eye out for my car and called me whenever there were questions and when he had some that were close. But I never felt pressured. When you're spending a lot of money on a secondary luxury/sports car, you don't want to have any regrets or buyer's remorse. I have neither and am very happy that Chris took the time to build the relationship and see me as a long time Mercedes customer and not just a quick sale. Thanks for all the hard work.

While stranded on the side of the road at the 405-520 interchange, I had not only one, but two people from Barrier Porsche stop and try to help. The first appeared moments after I stopped. Although he was not able to diagnose the problem, he offered to do everything he could to brighten the situation. Twenty minutes later, Wes from Barrier Roadside assistance came and waited with me for AAA to collect the car. Having him stay there gave me great peace of mind and that is what amazing customer service is all about. Your service team should be commended for going far above the call of duty. Best experience that I have ever had at Barrier. We buy/trade cars often (at least once a year). Previously, given the difficulty of dealing with sales and pricing that was significantly higher, I had vowed never to do business with Barrier again. With the assistance of Carl and the Sales Manager on duty, I have obviously rethought that position! Other than the time it took to complete the transaction, the only other item at point of delivery was a slight scratch in passenger side. Minor point, but was something that my wife immediately noticed. Thanks for a great buying experience!

Just a quick note to say “thank you” for the great service I received from Erik Borgen in the parts department. Tuesday morning while changing the battery on my remote key fob (V50), I unknowingly lost a very tiny spring the hold the latch in place that keeps the key in the remote. Frustrate that it no longer worked properly I came to the parts dept and showed the problem to Erik. Erik investigated the situation with service dept. (since no spring was listed in the parts catalog) and determined the problem. Cost to replace key fob, computer chip and reprogramming was going to cost almost $200.00. Erik went upstairs to the “bone yard” as he called it, and found a non-operational key fob that still had a spring in it. He quickly added the spring to my unit and I was on my way.
Now that is what I call Customer Service!
